Our Annual Art Song Concert celebrates the incredible artistry of the Blessed Sacrament music staff while fueling their growth as independent solo artists. This special performance showcases our highly talented singers following a week of rigorous, intensive coaching with guest coach Dean Williamson. By supporting our staff's independent solo work, this concert brings a renewed musical vigor back to our community liturgies and elevates our entire choral program.

What is Art Song? An art song is an intimate classical composition written for a solo voice and piano, where both musicians function as equal partners. Rather than telling a large-scale theatrical story like an opera, an art song sets high-quality poetry to music. The performance focuses on a deep, nuanced interpretation of the text, capturing subtle emotions and vivid imagery in a concentrated, powerful setting.
