Sarah Santos, soprano, is a Houston-born artist currently based in Seattle, Washington. She holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Washington, where she studied with Thomas Harper. A longtime admirer of Gilbert and Sullivan, Sarah is especially drawn to lyric and comedic repertoire and has earned praise for her vibrant stage presence and sparkling upper register. Recent performance credits include Gretel in the University of Washington’s production of Hansel and Gretel directed by Kelly Kitchens, Spirit #2 in Vashon Opera’s production of Massenet’s Cendrillon, Farinelli’s Trainer in David T. Little’s Vinkensport, and Maria in West Side Story. Sarah was also praised by Broadway World for her “glorious high notes” as Constance in The Sorcerer. She currently sings with Choral Arts Northwest under the direction of Tim Westerhaus, serves as a staff singer at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and performs with Blessed Sacrament’s professional Cantorei ensemble. Outside of the stage, Sarah teaches voice and piano at Holy Names Academy and has maintained a private studio for over fifteen years. She also enjoys hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at home with her cat, Obi.
