Martín Eizayaga

Martín Eizayaga, tenor, has been singing with the choral ensembles at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Seattle since 2024. He is a member of the Cantorei and made his formal soloist debut with the ensemble in 2025 performing Handel’s Messiah. Partly what drew Martín to Blessed Sacrament was the parish's focus on restoring Gregorian chant and polyphony to the forefront of the liturgy.

Martín’s choral background spans both collegiate and liturgical ensembles. He previously sang with the Schola of the Basilica of Saint John the Evangelist in Stamford, Connecticut. He has performed with the Cornell Chamber Singers and the historic Cornell Glee Club while completing his undergraduate studies.

Professionally, Martín works as a software engineer and he holds a degree in Computer Science from Cornell University’s College of Engineering. In his free time, he also supports Blessed Sacrament’s welcoming ministry as a volunteer church history tour guide. He has a deep personal interest in the history of the parish and the Dominican friars in the Pacific Northwest, and he is always delighted when long-time parishioners stop by to share their own memories and stories of the church.
