Kristor Cummings

Kristor Cummings is a tenor out of the heart of Western Washington, where he was born and raised. Kristor comes from a long line of accomplished family musicians including his music director father and his opera-singing brother, and is currently a staff tenor in Blessed Sacraments’ Cantorei and Parish choirs, as well as a cantor.

Kristor was surrounded by music from a young age and started attending a children’s choir at the age of 8. In his teenage years he began cantoring at his local church, St. Mary Magdalen parish in Everett. He was offered a staff job at the church, and was the principal tenor for 5 years where he also sang at funerals, weddings and events in the parish community. While he enjoyed his time there immensely, he developed a love for ancient polyphonic music which led him to seek Blessed Sacraments choral program..

When he’s not singing church music, he can be found bringing his musical talents to singing Billy Joel at Karaoke or subbing for one of his older brothers in their local acapella group “Common Ground.” In his spare time he’s usually hanging out with his brothers online, playing a game of pickup ultimate, or spending time with his wife, with whom he is expecting his first child this summer.
