Gabriel Salmon

Gabriel Salmon was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Palo Alto, where his twin convinced him to join their high school choir. He studied Music and Economics at St. OlafCollege and sang with the St. Olaf Choir, their chamber, gospel, and other choirs, as well as the opera and theater programs. In St. Paul, he met his partner, Lauren, then followed her around the country while she completed her medical residency. During this tour, he obtained a Master's in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. InMinnesota, he sang with Minnesota Opera, Mixed Precipitation (The Picnic Operetta),OperaTease, and Pilgrim Lutheran.Gabe and Lauren moved to Seattle in 2023 in order to follow his family, who had moved here a few years prior. He is currently singing with Blessed Sacrament's Cantorei, Harmonia Orchestra & Chorus, The Swedish Singers, and NOISE (Northwest Opera in Schools, Etc.).Outside of music, he occasionally works in tech and at Lumen Field. He also volunteers with the Center for Wooden Boats, Fremont Arts Council, and fosters cats through Alley CatProject. He enjoys gardening, biking and running around the city, and various nerdy things. He lives in Ballard with his cats, Curtis, Gustav Mahler, and Leeloo.
