Erin Plagerman
Soprano
Erin Plagerman has been a chorister at Blessed Sacrament for over nine years and a member of the Cantorei since 2024. An accomplished music educator with a certification in Orff-Schulwerk music pedagogy (San Francisco International Orff Course), Erin has a rich background in both vocal and instrumental music, having studied (to varying degrees) cello, piano, organ, and more. She particularly appreciates the challenge of the Cantorei ensemble in pushing her to continually develop her musical skills; her favorite experiences in the ensemble include the premiere of Kile Smith's Jesus Stood on the Shore (February 2025), their May 2025 performance of John Tavener's rarely-performed gem, Ikon of Light, and the concert in celebration of Blessed Sacrament's centennial featuring Anton Bruckner's Te Deum (October 2025). In addition to singing, Erin also writes weekly articles for the music ministry in the Blessed Sacrament bulletin, reflecting on the weekly readings and propers in connection to that week's musical programing.
Erin's day job is in the financial industry, where she assists advisors and their clients, trains new members of the financial industry, and enjoys Seattle skyline views from the top of the Columbia Center. In her free time, Erin enjoys baking sourdough bread, reading a good book (particularly ones by Tolkien), spoiling her cats, and sharing life with her husband, Michael.
