Continuing Marriage Education Retreat: After Opposites Attract

October 24 and 25

“Love between man and woman cannot be built without sacrifices and self-denial.” – Pope St. John Paul II

God’s plan for marriage brings a man and a woman together to form a married couple – the two become one. It’s beautiful! Right? Yes…and in this fallen world, the very things that make us good spouses for each other – the different strengths we bring to the marriage – can become the things that drive us crazy in day-to-day life.

This fall, our marriage enrichment retreat will focus on the theme of complementarity in marriage, and ways to live it well. Married couples, join us for talks by Fr. Dominic David, talks by married couples from our community, time for prayer and reflection both as a couple and with the other couples from our community, time for sacraments, and time for fellowship as a community.

“Womanhood and manhood are complementary not only from the physical and psychological points of view, but also from the ontological. It is only through the duality of the "masculine" and the "feminine" that the "human" finds full realization.” – Pope St. John Paul II
