Anne Lashbrook
Alto
Anne Lashbrook joined the musicians at Blessed Sacrament in 2025, singing with the Cantorei and the Frassati choir. She has sung in choral groups through many phases of her life, including with the Women of St. James Schola, the Saint Louis University Campion Schola, and the Mount St. Mary Academy Concert Belles. She is also experienced with piano, having played since childhood. Her repertoire upon the conclusion of high school lessons included works such as Sinding's Frühlingsrauschen, Beethoven's Sonata Pathétique, and Khachaturian's Toccata. Anne picked up guitar as well upon moving to Seattle in 2024. In addition to music, Anne holds a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Washington, where she is pursuing her Ph.D. There, she researches theoretical nuclear physics and quantum computation with the InQubator for Quantum Simulation (IQuS). Quantum computers seem promising in simulating complex quantum systems that are beyond the reach of classical computers. IQuS aims to advance simulations from current noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices to future fault-tolerant systems capable of achieving quantum advantages. Anne is also an Accelerating Quantum-Enabled Technologies (AQET) fellow, collaborating with other graduate students in the interdisciplinary field of quantum information science. Anne is originally from Arkansas, where she grew up spending copious amounts of time outdoors in Central Arkansas and the Ozark region. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the natural areas and hikes that Washington state has to offer
