The goal of the St. Gianna Society is to gather more support for existing Pro-Life efforts by celebrating the gift of life and begin new parish initiatives according to recognized needs. All efforts will be in accordance with the Catholic Church's magisterial teaching on matters regarding the primacy of the dignity and sanctity of the human person from conception to natural death.
Early Goals:
Kick off meeting to introduce group
Encourage Blessed Sacrament parishoners to attend and promote weekly/monthly prayer vigils
Personally invite a priest to attend
Holy hour during prayer vigil
Speakers to include Dominican priests, Camille de Blasi, Tom Curran, Carrie Abbot.
Gospel of Life Study Group
Email Prayer Tree (Receiving prayer requests for women from local Crisis Pregnancy Centers)
Display in vestibule – Fetal Development Awareness
Mid-Term Goals:
Post-abortion speakers speak to parish, separate session for priests to talk about addressing abortion /post-abortion from the pulpit
Promotion of pro-life apostolates (1050, Angelorum, Birthright, Project Rachel)
Continued support of prayer vigils and ongoing speakers
Long-Term Goals:

Outreach to Hispanic community / Our Lady of Guadalupe feast day celebration in honor of the patroness of the pre-born
Rachel's Vineyard / Project
Gabriel's Angels - Parish adopts women in crisis pregnancies.
