The Pan de Vida Volunteers also visit the girls' orphanage, Asistencia de la Salvatierra. As you will see from their impressions, the volunteers really have had a wonderful time! Salvatierra is a girl's home, and houses 30 girls from the ages of five to sixteen. These girls come from poverty stricken homes, but most have been rescued from abusive situations. They live at Salvatierra year-round (unlike the boys at Rancho Nazareth) and also go to school at the orphanage. The Pan de Vida Volunteers would like to thank the madres and children at Salvateirra for hosting our group from Blessed Sacrament, talk about making us feel welcome!
