Lent 2019

Peace of Heart

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body.”
Colossians 3:15

As we renew our efforts to live as Christ’s disciples during this Lenten season, we need not be troubled!  Rather, our ongoing conversion turns us towards Christ so that his peace may rule in our hearts. Our prayer, fasting, and almsgiving deepen our conversion so that the power of our Lord’s saving mysteries may guard us in that peace. We invite you to join us here at Blessed Sacrament as we journey together toward the Lord’s peace that surpasses understanding.

Join in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

This Lenten season is an opportunity to draw closer to the mercy of Jesus, to discover ourselves more perfectly in His love, and to prepare for the joy of the His Resurrection at Easter.

Join in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during the Lenten season. Click here for Adoration opportunities at Blessed Sacrament.

  • If you already adore the Lord each week, consider adding an extra half hour of time with the Lord.

  • Join us for Adoration on Friday nights after our Lenten reflections.

  • Come to Mercy Night on Friday, March 29. Drop by anytime from 8-11 PM.

When, in adoration, we look at the consecrated Host, the sign of creation speaks to us. And so, we encounter the greatness of his gift; but we also encounter the Passion, the Cross of Jesus and his Resurrection. Through this gaze of adoration, he draws us toward Himself, within His mystery, through which He wants to transform us as He transformed the Host.
— Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
