Upcoming Choral Masses and Special Liturgies
In the Fall of 2018, Blessed Sacrament Parish embarked on a liturgical journey with the introduction of a series of Choral Masses celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
On First Sundays as well as most Feasts and Solemnities, our Schola Cantorum will resound the liturgical works of such lauded composers as Hans Leo Hassler, Joseph and Michael Haydn, Antonio Lotti, Claudio Monteverdi, Amadeus Mozart, Giovanni Palestrina, and Tomás Luis de Victoria - all in the acoustics of our historic Sanctuary.
Our Schola Cantorum will frequently be accompanied by the accomplished members of our resident Baroque Orchestra and Sackbut Ensemble on period instruments.
The musical tradition of the Universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value,
greater even than that of any other art!
