Each class session will begin with a 30-45 minute presentation on a particular ancient saint or theologian followed by a 45-60 minute discussion of a primary text. Topics will include the identity of God and Christ, the nature of the Church, the Eucharist, how to read the Bible, prayer and Christian morality.

For each session, participants are asked to read a few pages of primary text. All texts will be provided via handouts and are also accessible below.

We will usually spend one to two sessions per author. Participants who cannot come every week are welcome to join us as they are able. Classes begin on Tuesday, September 18 with an introduction to the seminar.
